This past Friday, Rodney, Tamika (my wonderful assistant) and I had a blast at The 900 Michigan Ave Shops! There were two shopping events going on simultaneously. Talk about shopping overload!
The Los Angeles based, luxury consignment shop, Decadestwo.1 came back to Chi-Town for a three day pop-up shop to shower us with fabulous Louboutins, Chanel, DVF and soooo much more! Friday was the VIP Opening Night Ceremony for all of the shopping festivities. It was a pleasure to peruse the beautiful clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and cosmetics while sipping on cocktails by NUVO Sparkling Liqueur and delicious cupcakes by CRUMBS Bake Shop. The icing on our cupcake was meeting one of the founders, Cameron Silver!

Right across from the Decades event at the Launch/CFI Space, Chicago's own talented designers, Miriam Cecilia Carson (Miriam Cecilia Designs) and Stephanie Kuhr (Dottie's Delights) was hosting the Manicures and Mocktails Trunk Show! Having met Miriam Cecilia a few times before, it was great to finally chat with her one-on-one and have closer look at her amazing designs. I am a true fan of her work and I can't wait to purchase and wear something from her line!
This was my first time meeting Stephanie Kuhr. She is the owner of the Vintage-style, Lingerie & Foundations line, Dottie's Delights. Highly influenced by the burlesque and pin-up look, Stephanie's pieces are truly unique and super sexy. I loved it!! An added bonus was that she was very sweet too!
My assistant, Tamika Moore, (whose birthday is this week) got a special treat by getting a mini-manicure (courtesy of Mario Tricoci) while sipping on a delicious mocktail! What more can a girl ask for? Check out some of the looks from the designers below:
